When did everyone start giving there lil ones food, my boys 4m we've started to give him the odd bit of purée veg as he's on 8ounce of milk every 3h and showing signs he wants food, am I wrong for doing so as my health visitor said not to give him food till he's 6m x

Weaning age has been 6 months for like 15 years. Theyll soon be changing all baby food jars etc to 6 months xx
I personally feel every baby is different. Morgan wasn't weaned until 6months but Max was 4.5months. He was showing several signs & even when he was younger I knew he'd be an early weaner. As long as it's simple and you've thought it out then I don't see the harm in weaning between 4-6months
@lexi109 yeah dont worry about too much weight he will only take what he needs!
Just stick to the 4 month jars n porrdige and he will be fine... weaning guidelines used to be 4 months... they will end up changing again.. if hes ready then let him guide you xx
@laurabump27, yh Iv seen a baby fruit porridge 4m+ going to try him on it tomorrow, if we have food he stares and if I'm holding him he try's to hit my hand lol, only thing is I don't want him putting to much weight on lol he's 15lb+ lol but he's not over weight because he's tall so it balances out my health visitor said xx
Just start giving him porridge for breakfasts.. i started at 4 months! The hv always said no but hes 9 months now and loves food xx
Yeah Ikr, my health visitor said to try and space it out and make him go longer but every time I've tried he screams and has a shit fit, if I give him less he doesn't last 3h, and yh just gave him purée carrots he loved it :L tried him on a small amount of fruit purée he loved that too lol xx

8oz every 3hours that seems a lot? I'd continue with puree or baby rice for breakfast xx

Me and my SO have absolutely no sex life anymore and it's really starting to get to me. I try and give him hints and still nothing. I feel like he's not attracted to me anymore and it's really starting to upset me /: is anyone else having this problem?
When did you moms start giving your baby oatmeal? My baby is 2 months 1 week & I’m gonna start giving him a little oatmeal with his formula in the morning & at night!
So my mom bought my son some baby food that starts for 4months and up and he's now 4 months. How would I really give it to him? I usually give him 5 bites of it and save it but end up having to throw it out. He's formula fed also so do I give him the whole thing maybe after a bottle or??? And yes he does actually eat it lol. Plus the doctor said its fine.

So what is the earliest you've heard a doctor suggest baby food. Waylon gained 4lbs in a month and he wanted me to start giving him bites of baby food through out the day along with 4oz of water. I had to start mixing my breastmilk with formula bc he has reflux. And having the bottle made him want to eat faster and more. He was eating 6oz bottles every 3 hours. And apperently it made him gain too much too fast. But I feel REEEEAAAALLLLLY off with the idea of giving him baby food. What do you all...
