You guys I really need some advice on my weight loss situation I’m having. So my doctor basically is making me lose weight. Ive been taking the medication she told me to take but it seems like the ONLY thing this medicine is good for is keeping me up at night. I’ve explained this to my doctor an she told me to give it time for my body to adjust to it an take it in. Well I go back to my doctor on February 23 & if I haven’t lost Anywhere from 5-10 lbs then she had mentioned something about switching the medicine to another an a higher dose. I don’t want to keep switching medication AT ALL. But for some reason my weight just want come off. I don’t eat half as much as I use to, I’m active with my daughter, I work an at my job I’m constantly walking @ least 6 hours a day! It’s a slow moderate pace but I’m still walking so idk why the weight isn’t coming off. I really DO NOT have the time at all for the gym. Any suggestions on how to lose a few pounds? Home remedies? Beginners workouts? ANYTHING?
@heera, thanks. Soda was definitely one of my issues . I drink 3-4 sodas a day & without any soda I feel so miserable lol not really but I it was hard.
And good for you on cutting out the sodas!!! Thats a big step!! Most people can’t do that at ALLLL!!!
It’s definitely best to replace a lot of foods you’d normally eat with for example a salad with some grilled chicken or something. And id definitely drink more water. You need to have a serious water intake for any of that to work. I’m about 145 pounds right now and that’s only bcuz I recently got back from India and stopped going to the gym so I’ll be back at the gym after a while lol. But in reality i have a really fast metabolism so if i eat and eat and eat I wont go past like 150 but im also a bollywood dancer so that covers my work out pretty much lol...try to really fit some extra cardio in there even if it’s for 15 min a day. And drink an extreme amount of water. After that if theres still issues then id consider switching to a different med and that may help bcuz the dose that your on may not work for you. Everyone is different and it will be worth it in the long run. Sometimes it does take some time. But seriously water water waterrrrr!!!! I dance everyday not bcuz i need to but bcuz ive been dancing since before I could even walk and just with that and drinking water sometimes I lose a couple pounds without even meaning to. It’s just my hobby lol...
@heera, I’ve actually cut out all sodas, well except a dr. Pepper on Saturday but no sodas other then that. This medicine has actually made me lose some of my appetite so I haven’t been eating bigger portions like I was, I’ve been drinking water & milk in the mornings with my cereal lol. & as said in the status, I literally walk a moderate paste probably 6 hours during my shift! I don’t have any physical exercise in plan but I really don’t have time for a full whole hour gym workout or even a 60 minute workout at home. I
@heera, the only thing she really said was try to eat less portions an drink a lot of water.
@p0790, & I also can document any type of exercise I do throughout the day an it tells me how many calories I have burned
@p0790, no.. I don’t weight in but I do watch my calories. I have an app my doctor recommended called lose it an I had to put in my weight that I weighed , how much I wanna lose & when I wanna lose it by an it tells me how many calories I should take in a day. So my calories I do watch.
Are you counting calories, or just eating healthy ? Sometimes we could be consuming too much of something ( fat, sodium, sugar, carbs) also are you weighing in in the morning?
Did she give you a specific diet to follow while on this medication? Sorry for the questions but to better suggest something it’s easier if I know exactly what she said as far as dieting goes. Did she say to eat normally while your on this medication? Or did she ask you to cut some things out? Meds for weight loss can be tricky sometimes unfortunately.
@heera, we tried it back in 2016 . I was on it a month an a half an only lost like 4lbs but then I got pregnant. This time I’ve only been on it a week now an she said I should lost 1.5 -2lbs a week an ive lost nothing. I feel like my body is just fighting against the medication or rejecting it.
Well before suggesting anything, how long have you been on this medication the doctor prescribed?
I came to the doctor. The doctor believes I have pp depression and wants me to be put on medication. Who on here takes medication? I’m kind of anti for it.
Does anyone happen to remember how much their little weight at 29 weeks ??
I’m taking a wild guess my doctors are just trying to scare me because I have gestational diabetes
Ok so not using actual numbers.. But everyone knows I'm over weight since having my girls. It's no secret. BUT i was talking with my hubby last night and idk how we got to this but he said something like (not using actual numbers) no one should weigh 800lbs, they should take care of themselves. And i said so what if someone weighs 800lbs? He said no one should weigh that, they should be healthier. I said well i almost weigh 800! I'm in the 790s. And I'm healthy. I may be overweight but i don't h...
Can I have everyone’s opinions on me being 5cm dilated 50% effaced my cervix is high but the baby’s head is there and I wasn’t sent to labor and delivery. My mom is taking me cause she thinks it wasn’t right that my dr didn’t send me over to the hospital so she wants me looked at again. I THINK my dr stripped my membrane but I’m not sure(I say I’m not sure cause she says things and then I’m not sure what she meant she did or didn’t do and I don’t ask but she said “let’s see if we can change that...
Is it just my docs?
Idk why, but every time I go to the doctor they just check my blood pressure, weight, urine, baby's heartbeat, and send me on my way!
Go low carb. I lost almost 30 pounds
