O ok! That's good. Hope y'all have fun. I did bought like @lovelily did for my sons 1st bday. I got decorations from party city and birthday in a box. We did it at a park and took our gas cooker. Did cake, fries and chicken nuggets. Had bout 20 r so people it was mainly family. Turned out nice.

I spent $100 at Party City for supplies and decor for an Alice in wonderland party when Lily turned 1. We grilled burgers and hot dogs, bought cake and ice cream = $75-100 and had a damn nice party with about 15 guests. So $200 total. Minus gifts of course.

@zombiemommie, we also didn’t invite anyone because she it 2 and i feel at that age the parties are more for the parents than for the child. I don’t think you have to spend a lot for your child to feel special. I know my daughter would rather go to the park and get French fries than deal with a fussy mommy because i tried to throw a Pinterest perfect party.

@zombiemommie, i made cupcakes but bought special liners and sprinkles, i bought bubbles, and 50 balloons. She is 2, it doesn’t take a lot to make it special.

You can definitely do a good party with 400 as your budget. Where are you having it at and whats your theme?
