@britbrat.eskew4946 I didn't know that. I just filed on turbotax app. And haven't finalized it yet cause I have to put money in my bank account to reopen it for direct deposit since I don't qualify for the turbo tax prepaid card for whatever reason.

Did you get her name? I’d call the company because she shouldn’t be acting that way to you. One year I worked only like 6 weeks and I still filed taxes.

Doesn't HR Block have the online free filing now? Like turbotax? I used turbotax the last two years and was gonna try HR Block this year.

@lovelily Yeah I wish I could of let someone else file my kid but you have to had lived with them for half a year and I lived alone so only I can file this year.

It was $200 to file when I went to HR long time ago and I made 25k a year. It's much cheaper to do it yourself with Turbo. But I thought you had to make over a certain amount to file and claim a child which is why my sister always had me claim her kids. Might be different now, idk.

It's a lot when all I worked was 2 months out of the year. So that's basically half of what I'll get back for my son. That's 200 that I can save by doing it on turbo tax.

200 is nothing compared to what I had to pay.... 😒 I did it on TurboTax first but it got rejected because of information I didn't have access to and the only way to bypass it was to go through National Tax Solutions instead which charged me 500.... They told me turbo tax isn't as good as they say it is though because even though they claim to give you the maximum refund they really don't because that way more money can go to the IRS.
