QUICK QUESTION. Ok so my mother bought my son this bouncer type of thing a couple of months ago it vibrates and everything. And since then I’ve kind of been basically allowing him to sleep there. Mom my keeps getting on me for not putting him down in his crib but I’m trying to explain to her that I let him sleep there because he’s closer to me and its easy access oppose to the crib. Am I wrong? We just got into an argument about it she called me a f*cking idiot, For once again not laying him down. Do y’all think I’m wrong? I have more then enough time to get him on a sleep schedule so what’s the rush. When he’s still waking up whenever he’s hungry despite the time I put him to sleep and at times it’s still every other hour 😔😔😔😔😔😔
My first did naps in her bouncer then swing til 10 months old. Bassinet or crib at night. Second does sleep in rock n play during the day and bassinet at night. Personally I sleep better knowing it's a flat surface at night. It's obviously your preference
There's nothing wrong with it at all as long as he can breathe alright. When my son was about that age and even younger, there were times we couldn't get him to sleep at all in his bassinet and it would be a battle constantly but he fell asleep in his bouncer so easily and when he would fall asleep at a certain time at night, he would be out and sleeping deeply but if you woke him up it would be a nightmare. So a lot of the time he would just sleep there at night and we would all get good sleep. Found out later that he had tummy troubles and acid reflux so he couldn't lay on his back or he'd be in pain and spit up a lot, eventually we got him an inclined bassinet and he finally slept in it.
@mommiesaremagical14, thank youuuuuuuuu you couldn’t have said it better omgggggggg. If I don’t take her suggestions she’s calling me a bad mom or a lazy mom. She’s not understanding that her title is “GRANDmother” not “MOTHER”
@fasciamom, thank you. In her mind this is her son. That’s what it seems like
@briannahill1293 I can't say I have any experience here but if it were me I'd just tell her like it is. Your the mom not her. You make the decision when it comes to his food, clothes, sleeping arrangements and all around care. She did her job now it's your turn. She needs to know her place.
Listen you gotta do what you gotta do to get some sleep! I coslept sitting up in my bed holding him on my chest from the day he was born until he was I think 9mos, just so I could at least sleep. Then one night I put him in the crib and never looked back BUT, I didn’t care at the time, I just wanted both of us to sleep. Your mom needs to chill.
My son 14 months and at times his butt will asleep in his bouncer.
@ashtonndamon, thank you so much I didn’t know that had that
And you might. And if you want to avoid that they have portable bassinet which will do the best of both worlds
@mommiesaremagical14, ugh I wish she would just listen. It’s almost like he’s her son and not mine
@ashtonndamon, she thinks that if I keep him in there when I do eventually decided to put him in the crib I’ll have a hard time
@wildlyexploringlife_3, wow 10 months! And here I am worrying about it at 4 months smh. It’s like I can’t make my own decisions
I don't see anything wrong with it. My dd used to fall asleep in hers and if I didn't want to wake her up by picking her up (she's always been a light sleeper) I left her in it over night. She was a newborn, she was strapped in and she couldn't get out. She's 4 years old now so she's still alive. Lol.
I dont think so I let my son sleep in his swing all the time dont see why the bouncer would be any different
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?

So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
@briannahill1293 I've read that baby's neck could have issues when they sleep in those. Maybe try googling
