Okay mammas, I need some help. I’m trying to file for fasfa, I’m 19, I still live with my parents, I don’t know if that matters but can I put my own tax return, or do I need to put my parents tax return.

I need some help/knowledge on child support and taxes?! Her father pays child support monthly.. My daughter lives with me, I haven't filed my taxes yet. I'm planning on doing it this weekend. My ex just texted me and said - "Hey my dad is doing my taxes for me and he needs ur social security number n your full name, cause I need to claim back some of the taxes from the child support. And he said u can still claim Mia it won't affect it he already asked the tax people. So if u can send it over that be great thanks." However, when I googled it...I found out child support is outside of taxes. I FEEL like he's lying to me to try to get my social so he can claim our daughter. Anyone know?!
Question what is a simple tax return for one thing. And for two what if your a stay at home mom for the past 3 years and your man was unable to claim you on his taxes, would this simple tax return be a way around too getting a stimulus check. By god I think I deserve one too but I haven’t filed taxes or gotten any kind of assistance in years. I’m working my ass off at home.
Delay with tax returns? My MIL said there is a delay on tax returns for those claiming a dependent or getting the earned income credit. Has anyone heard about this? I didn't see anything on the IRS website.
My significant other hasn’t been to one appt. am I crazy for being bothered about it? I’m already depressed I’m having another baby. I didn’t even want anymore. I feel like I don’t have the support I need.

@tayyandgrayy Yes because a lot of people don't have the 2017 returns yet so they use the year before.

@lovelily, okay!! Thanks and also, I’m filing for 2018-2019 fasfa but it’s asking for 2016 tax return, I thought it would ask for 2017 do you know anything about that??

Your parents. My niece is 19 and still lives with my parents and she had to use their tax returns.
