Am I terrible for not wanting to baby sit my 2 yr old nephew and telling my brother that I have plans because I don't feel like I am ready to watch him on my own? So now I am sitting here crying because I feel like that.

Yeah. Idk I just find it hard to ask things like that of him because of his work schedule or the fact that I don't want to feel like I'm insulting his knowledge of things. He knows I'm nervous and this is my first baby. I trust him on his judgement of things as well and I am sure if I asked he would do it to make me feel better but I don't like asking a lot out of him for some reason. I hardly ever ask him for a weekend to ourselves and when I did last night I cried cause I felt selfish
@brandyswanson51, I bet you could learn some great things and be a stronger team together 😍 that would build your relationship too it’s fun to parent as a team
That's true it just doesn't help when the bf has a child and she's going to be 18 this year so I'm kinda relying on him to help teach me what I don't already know. Plus he wouldn't want our baby around possibly sick kids until she has a good immune system he should have 2 girls but the second passed away from staff. So he in overprotective mode
@brandyswanson51, well maybe there are some parenting classes around where you live that could help you better prepare for your own bundle of joy. My son is 19 months and can’t exactly say what he wants but I learned about baby signs and it helps him communicate with me. There are lots of tools out there to help you. Educating yourself on all of the great tools and techniques of parenting can really help you when it gets tough 😁
He's a good kid just I don't know what I doing. Any time I had to watch them alone it usually wasn't for a full hour or so
I don’t ever want to babysit my nieces or nephews 😂
On top of that I have never been left alone for long periods of time with any of the kids when they were really young. So this is all new for me
Well he has been asking me to watch his kids more recently to get me ready for motherhood. But his 6 yr old daughter is easy to watch and tells me when she's hungry and even makes her own sandwiches. They are still potty training my nephew and I have no idea on any of that for a boy or what kind od food he likes and will eat. I don't see them a lot. And I just don't know how to handle a 2 yr old that doesn't want to listen without crossing any lines with my sister in law and brother. They discipline differently than what me and my be plan on doing
Oh no 😢 if it’s your brother maybe you can just be honest and he will understand. I found lying always makes me feel worse, and the truth might be tough but you feel better about it afterwards. Why don’t you feel you are ready to watch a 2 year old? 😢

So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
