I’m pretty sure my little one is constipated, he’s pooped once in 2 days, but I’ve been told it’s normal for breastfed babies to go days without pooping, I was gonna call his pediatrician in the morning, any opinions, what do you guys know about this??

@tayyandgrayy, my baby went 3 days without pooping several times. I've heard of others going up to 7 without. Breastmilk usually always pushes any constipation out tho. This is one reason I haven't stopped yet. Lol when she starts whole milk I'm still going to hang onto breastfeeding until I see how she does with the transition. 😊

It's normal. They can go days without pooping. Does he seem uncomfortable at all?

I did and still do what @pipelinemama said at least once a day, even if he seems fine, just to help things along. My son went 7 days without pooping and he wasn't actually even trying to go, but that was at 5 weeks old. I would just call and make sure with his doctor in the morning.

It’s normal as they are “still learning to poop”. If there’s any sign of discomfort you can rub his belly in small circles in a circular motion on his belly and if he’s straining bring his knees to his chest and it should help him
