So i have a 2 year old daughter who just turned 2 last dec. And now I'm 5 weeks pregnant.. just wondering how hard its going to be to take care of my daughter and the new baby to come. My husband is a great father and always willing to help in fact he will be here for me when the baby is born.. but just wondering afterwards he his gone to work and it will just be me.. my family is not close by.. so I'm a little worried..if i will be o.k ? During the transition with a baby and toddler and managing between both.. advice and input of moms.. who have similar situations???
My son was almost 3 when the new baby came and although it's hard 2 handle 2 young kids for me it's definitely been easier than the first few months of being a ftm. Since you already have a routine with the oldest it's easier to put the youngest on that same routine. The hardest part so far is splitting my time. Baby is crying 3y.o is crying and wants attention and I'm only one person. My husband takes one kid and I take the other to ease the load. I baby wear a lot when its just me and the 2 of them. Sorry I'm rambling lol
@lisaadamsphone aww, thank you so much missy for your words and advice.
@jacquelinecorona56 The best advice is to get your 2 year old potty trained before your baby comes - otherwise you'll have twice the diaper duty and that will get old FAST. Good luck!
I’m due in September and my son is one I totally get how you feel lol
@girlmom. Aww. You are a true sweetheart.. thank you.. I'll probably take you on your offer. :)
@jacquelinecorona56, anytime!! And you can message me, if you ever need help 😁
Awww, thank you so much for your advice you really made my weekend. Im not due until sep.. but behind my head I've already have started to worry a little bit on how things will with a toddler and new baby.. comes.
but after reading your msg.. its like a breath of fresh air.. thank you so much.. :) so after reading all this.. i should be fine. Hopefully.. lol lol.. i will definitely follow.. your advice..
My best advice (this is from me going through this)
Get her on a schedule
Teach how to be more independent (self play, hygiene, potty training)
Meal preps will also come in handy when your just too tired to cook
Get house ready before 3rd trimester (Declutter, organize)
Take a mini trip just for her before baby comes (with my oldest, we spent the weekend at the beach and I went labor 3 days later)
Hubby will need to help cause that will make it a lot easier
Once you get the hang of it, it’s not bad at all!
@n_favors aww for sure.. i will and likewise. Have a great day.. talk soon. :)
You are welcome! You can message me anytime. Its good knowing u have support
@n_favors aww, thank you so much for your words i feel much better snd more relief.. that i will be good. Yeah. My daughter now is super close to me.. and she's very independent. I'm thinking positive..again thanks for your words.
O yea we can do it. It jus keeps u busy. You'll b able to teach your 2 yr old to do a few things for herself if she dnt already do it. Once u find wat works 4 u and stick to a routine it'll b good
@n_favors oh my... sounds a little hard.. but not impossible.. plua us woman do everything already.. just giving birth and carrying the baby was hard. Lol
It'll definitely be better with help. You'll need him to pitch in as much as possible. It seems time u lay one down the other wakes up if sleep r jus need your attention. Then sometimes they both need u at the same time
Lol I'm due in may & wondering the same!!
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Totally irrational so please no judgement... baby daddy is over for visitation and he took Karoline's picture and it infuriated me. I don't want him having pictures of my daughter. He just posts them on social media and claims how we keep him from Karoline and what a great dad he is even though he doesn't do shit. How do I get over this mamas? I'm really struggling with it lately. I just don't want him to have any part, seeing him with my daughter disgusts me .
so I'm a mom of a 26 weeker and he's 2 and my boyfriend has a 2 year old as well and we both want a baby but wonder if we should wait because of all of my health issues I had with my son before he and I got together? please no bashing or judging just asking. fair warning my doctors are all on with it too I just have to have my iud removed.
so idk what to do im supposed to be moving out with my bf, baby daddy he is 14 yrs older then me and he has his niece that is 25 that lives with him and she has a daughter that's almost 6 but on day she was being stupid and told me that I might have her daughters dad closer then me then i though since then we have had lots of fights about it and he always says it's not his daughter but why would she say that and why would he have gotten so mad when i questioned him about it and every time he pos...
