I hate the cry it out method, how long do you wait before you grab them or just go in to assure them safety? His cries are murder to my ears. 😩

Dont do it. They are crying because they want something. Even we dont sleep alone so why do we force them too.

@beemommyof3, I agree put rocking him it’s working, he usually sleep on us before bed but he’s being very attached and once you put him in bed he wakes up crying...

I comforted my daughter every 10 minutes. I never picked her up though. Soothed her while in her crib...
It took an hour the 1st day
Yesterday I had to lay in her toddler bed with her because she's sick.

That isnt a bad habit. He lived with you a year and he is falling asleep to your heartbeat which is where he found peace. That is normal. He wants to be close to you. Try giving your shirt while he sleeps

This made me completely reconsider the CIO method.. I didn't know it affected babies like this. I know a fussy baby can make us lose our minds sometimes, but I can't do it after watching this.

@beemommyof3, this is all Day when I’m near. If I’m in the kitchen he’ll wait but as soon as he sees me he gets this way. I love it trust me but he Squirming around with a six month old belly it gets to be a lot.

See this is what moms don’t understand when they’re younger than 12 months they usually need something. A changing, a bottle, a snack, or playtime. But once they’re older 12 plus months they will be perfectly fine and just cry because they want attention. And that’s when you have to set boundaries. At night when you know your child has been fed changed bathed whatever the night time routine is and you know they’re tired it isn’t wrong to let them cry for a few minutes and self soothe to sleep. It’s actually a mile stone a child must hit and they have to learn to cope and self soothe.

@crystal.newman @alejandra.cardona Agreed! It's hard to break the cycle and the older they get the more they learn how to manipulate Momma to get what they want! I didn't let my daughter start crying it out until she was like at least a year and a half. It was hard and I still sometimes have a hard time with her crying but you learn the difference of their cries.

Im going through that at thus moment but its better to have them cry it out cuz A) its good for thier lungs B) you dont want them to be hold me babies. It will come to bite you in the ass.
