My son was on soy formula as a infant, once he turned one his doctor told me to put him on whole milk so he can get everything he needs but Leonel poops and it hurts him he doesn’t even want me to wipe him i notice about a week ago he has a little hemorrhoid and I called his doctor again to discus what’s best for him other than that milk and he said as long as he is pooping once a day he is fine but I’m just like I am going to change him to something soy and see if he passes stool better any advice? 😩

He doesn’t get none of that but he just tries not to poop and he cry’s when he does .
Awesome. He may not react well to cow milk also. If he gets rashes, pimples, stomach aches from it. You'll just have to try different things and see what works for him

Good bacteria is what helps us poop. They help break down the doodoo so it passes easier. Along with fiber and water. I'd say add probiotics and chia powder to his milk. Soy isn't better for digestion, contrary to popular belief. Inhibits digestion over time and hinders nutrient absorption.
You can stick to cow but there's also goat and sheep. A good non dairy option is hemp or coconut. You can even buy combined milks now like cashew/coconut etc. Best of luck.

Mommas I need advice. Kynton gets a super bad rash when he poops. From one poop and maybe 45 seconds of him being in that diaper turns his butt bright red and blisters. We only use Huggies and Pampers diapers. Could it be disposables that do this? The gel stuff mixing with his poop that creates the rash?? And should I try a few cloths to see if it helps? Switched my 1 year old girl to lactose free & A2 milk- no more diaper rash or runny poop. Goats milk is also an option.
