When I go file taxes do I file head of household since only me and my brother and son lived together almost all of last year?. And where's the cheapest place to file at?

Married ppl with children..I have a tax question.... have you filed "Married filing separately" ? And if so did it affect your child credit refund amount? I read something that if I file MFS I won't get that credit..true? Idk if we both should file single or both MSF. I also still use my maiden name on everything, I haven't changed my ID or SS card to my married name. should file under my maiden name since that's what on my w2 ID ssn etc even if the certificate has my married name

@sarahlee2019 I done my own taxes and used turbo tax back in 2015. Which I didn't have a child then and now I do so I was just curious as to what I file as now. I done the tax estimator online as single and head of household and I'm still estimated to get back the same

Turbo tax is messing up everyone taxes and said I was getting back 4,000 and I'm only getting back two grand

I tried hr block estimator and turbo tax and it both says the same amount. Idk. I just don't wanna get ripped off

I’ve use turbo tax for 4 years now never had an issue 🤷🏽♀️
