@mommy2be2018 Good morning. I was induced. They break your water , which is kind of a miserable experience because you leak fluid for a long time. I did for over 24 hours. It's supposed to jump start the process, but my daughter was stubborn. They monitor your contractions and check to see how far you are dilated every 2-3 hours...the further the dilation and closer the contractions, the more often they check you. If you have the epidural, good luck. They put mine in too early and I ended up feeling everything. All worth it though. Don't be scared! Your body's instincts are incredibly impressive....so when it is go time, it's an amazingly beautiful thing how you know what to do.

The worst part of being induced for me was them putting the IV in my wrist. Other than that it wasn’t really all that bad (until active labor) for me. I got an epidural when I was 5 cm, and it was LIFE. I delivered my daughter in less than 12 hours.
I was induced and no epidural. See if you can get the epidural. I thought id be fine without the epidural, but absolutely wrong it was ten time worse than when i was in labor with both boys. And my labor was quick without the epidural.
