I need to ask, do we need to have an OB during pregnancy or just need it when we are in high risk pregnancy and what's the different between the OB and the regular doctor we've seen everytime we check up?
@beemommyof3 I have my prenatal care at the hospital and just finished to see the doctor, so I have 2 different doctors who handle my case and both of them are male
I see. Well if he's handling your pregnancy then maybe you don't need an OB. They don't deliver you anyway.
@kambam so the hoapital and the clinic is related and he is a pregnancy specialist at 2 hospitals he work for but at the clinic he is a pregnancy and family doc and I see him for the regular check up every month at the clinic
Oh that's still really weird. Does he have OB credentials perhaps? I didn't think that was allowed to have a normal doc do prenatal. Its getting really late for you though.
@lizyetter_1991 I'm gonna try to see one but the doctor who will deliver my baby is a male too
@kambam it some complicated to explain but I'll try, so the doctor who ask me to see the OB is the doctor from the hospital I registered for the labor and the doctor I've seen every month from the family and pregnancy clinic
@nadiathresya.nt Men can be obstetricians. Mine is. "Lady doctor" means a doctor who specializes in female healthcare
@kambam then I must find one before I'm in labor especially the doctor told me that I'm going to end up with C section
@girlmom. Ok, so I don't have OB yet until today bc my doctor is a man and I'm low lying placenta case
@kambam the doctor just ask me to see an OB bc I'm low lying placenta and will end up by having c section
