So question, i only pump at night cause my husband would like to wake up with him to but when i pump i only get about an ounce. Is that normal for him only being 5days ? He's on the boob during the day. Also he nurses for about 15-20minutes why does he still not seem full? I read about cluster feeding could that be what he's doing ?
Pumping was the only way I actually could tell if my son was getting enough milk but he also wouldn’t latch on much to nurse long. His tummy is so little still so he should be fine. The more you pump your milk will increase. It’s recommend that you pump every 3hrs or so to keep it flowing
Sounds like you're doing perfect then. I always suggest not pumping. I know dad wants to be involved but there's other ways. I've been cosleeping since day 1 as well... pretty much how all breastfeeding moms get sleep. Put on boob, pass out, repeat.
@kambam, yes those & soiled as well. I feel like most of my day is spent with him on my boob 😂
You'll know he's eating enough by his diaper count. Is he making plenty of wet diapers? They are little leeches until about 6w and then they will be less needy.
@kambam, how long does it usually last? I feel like he's never full lol.
1oz is totally average. He's comfort nursing and probably cluster feeding as well. All they want is mama.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.

They nurse around the clock because they are growing around the clock. Before he was delivered a week ago he ate when he wanted. That is how it should go while out of the womb especially when breastfeeding. You dont want to pump to much right now. it can cause clogged ducts
