Guys, I am 20 weeks pregnant. And for the last 4 days, I have been puking up every bit of liquid I swallow. I've been have the worst cramps EVER starting this morning, that ended with the worst case of diarrhea in history. I went to the doctor after one day of it and they ran every test they could think of and just said I was dehydrated. Does anyone know what's wrong with me? I am miserable.
I forgot to add that also when I stand up for any amount of time, I get really dizzy, like one scared I'm going to pass out and have to sit back down.
@ecahanes Okay, I didn't know food poisoning lasted that long. And yeah, really dizzy when I stand up.
Well both can last that long. Especially food poisoning. I would go in if you are worried about being dehydrated which I'm sure you are considering you can't keep liquids down
@ecahanes I was thinking that too, but then after 4 days, I've been getting worried.
To me that sounds like either a stomach bug or food poisoning I don't think it's pregnancy related
@mrshammond17 I was at the hospital the day before yesterday for it, you think I should go back?
I’m sure they will already check but those are symptoms I had with preeclampsia and I had preeclampsia with all three of my pregnancies. I’m on my fourth baby now. Hopefully that’s not what it is.
@maloaug I don't think so, my last check up was two weeks ago, and they said everything looks like a textbook pregnancy. I just have no clue why I would be puking, diarrheaing, and almost passing out unless something was really going on.
It could be gas pain bc when I was pregnant with my daughter I had gas pain so bad one time not knowing what it was and I was ready to go to the ER. Lol but you don’t have Preeclampsia do you?
@maloaug That's what I was thinking. Everyone where I'm from has been getting that 24-48hr bug, I thought I had that but I tested negative for it. Plus no one I know of had stomach pains as bad as me. It's the hot, stabbing, seize up your body kind. But it feels like gas pain, not baby pain.
@charitymariee, well it can’t be that then it’s gotta be something else bc there’s no way you’re dehydrated again after having two bags.
@maloaug They did give me an IV. They gave me two bags of fluid and some nausea medicine through it. That was the day before yesterday, I felt better that evening but it came back again yesterday.
They’ll give you like two bags full of saline and you will feel better and the cramps will go always
They should give you an IV. That’s what they did for me when that happened. Being dehydrated causes contractions and if you have them for too long it can start labor. Try drinking lots of water and if you can’t keep it down I highly recommend going to Triage and getting what you need through the drip.
That happened to me when was
pregnant and I went to the hospital and they gave me fluids. That dizziness was the worst thing ever. I was scared to go anywhere because I was afraid I would pass out. I hope you feel better soon
