My sisters stupid dog attacked my dog yesterday on her blind side and she tore my girls ear, now she has a lump... I’m PISSED!!!!!

My poor half blind dog didn’t do anything either! So this falls right in with her stupid dog attacking for no reason! She’s bit my toddler 3 times unprovoked too! She’s lucky my sister was sitting there because I’d have thrown her against the wall!!!!

I am just over this damn dog being in my house! So when sis is gone her dog is in the kennel!!!

@mamawolfe18, My mini doxi cross has been my baby for 6.5 years, she was glued to me when I was pregnant with my daughter and then glued to her after she was born. My daughter is Fritz’s human, it’s really sweet! Even though she is half blind and has bad knees she is always so loving and sweet to my toddler. But Toddler also knows not to put her face in Fritz’s face unless I’m right there talking to fritz, telling her to “give kisses”. They have a great relationship and I am very blessed!

Pixie (my chihuahua) is more skiddish, but is also pretty well behaved with the Toddler. She will give kisses, but when toddler gets rowdy she runs and hides.

Kami was abandoned, and we didn’t know anything about her. We thought she was 1 turned out she was 7 and WAY set into her ways. She didn’t like men, she was VERY possessive of me and aggressive towards anyone around me.... We rescued her from being taken to the pound by the people who found her, but then 2 weeks later found out I was pregnant. We spent a year trying to work with her, but she needed way more work than I could give her with a new born... So I found her a good home with one of my cousin’s boyfriend’s mom. I get pictures and updates still and it’s been 3 years. ❤️ She is still VERY possessive and aggressively protective though... So it would have never worked out had we kept her....

Minnie bit my brother and drew blood... Hubby and I had been talking about kids, but knew we couldn’t trust the dog around anyone! It was very upsetting and frustrating. I talked to my grandma who said she would take the dog till we could find a new home, but she got attached and ended up keeping her. She is now a LOT better at meeting new people, and she is a lot more laid back. We had also had an issue with her being mean to my Fritz. So grandma taking her ended up being the best for everyone.

That is honestly very responsible of you for getting new homes for the other dogs. Sometimes animals aren't a good fit for certain homes but perfect in others. Animals need attention and love but sometimes they have flaws that need to be corrected and they can't have a lazy owner that won't give them the attention and training. Animals are complex like humans and they also needs guidance. It's all up to us to guid them into being great family animals. It's wonderful you taught your child to be nice but to stay away from the dog. My sons best friend is his cat and they are troublemakers together lol.

@mamawolfe18, I agree. Her dog does more damage to people around her than to support her emotionally.

She is a HORRIBLEY behaved dog. She goes outside to potty and comes back in and potties. She scratches at the door and I had to fix it! She chewed up MY dogs feeding bowl. She lunges and she is not behaved at all! I had her mostly kennel trained and my sister moved out the first time and quit enforcing it. So I had to start all over!!!

She is the biggest pain in the ass... I’m a huge animal lover too, my dogs are like my children, my Rats are like my babies. They all get spoiled and rewarded for good behavior.

I have lost all respect for this dog and have no sympathy for her. My dogs don’t act like that, they know if they snap at anyone for any reason they will be punished. I’ve never had to worry about my dogs around my toddler. She knows not to pull tails and ears, but she also knows if she is nice to them they will be nice to her. She knows how to behave around dogs, so it is just THIS dog. I rehomed 2 dogs because I couldn’t trust them around kids. One went to an older lady with now grand kids and the other went to my grandma who has worked very hard with the dog to correct the behavior. Both were rescues and needed more work than I could give with a newborn....

She is honestly lucky my husband hasn’t put the dog down... She definitely needs retrained.

That dog seems like it does more damage than good. I'm a huge animal lover but there has to be boundaries when a child is in the picture especially. It's a good thing she isn't moving with you. I think it will be the best for all of you.

@mamawolfe18, Yea, and if it were any other dog she’d have had a shit fit! But she makes excuses for the dog.

The dog also snaps at my MIL (i dont’ blame her on that one though....) And she has bit my dad, snapped at my mom. Basically anyone who is “new” to her.

When in public she had to have a muzzle on her because she would lunge and snap at strangers!

IN the dogs only defense, she was abused by my ex brother in law along with my sister. So I understand she doesn’t like bigger men. But that doen’t excuse all of her actions! Especially going after my dog and toddler unprovoked.

So the dog stays in the kennel while my sister is at work or at her BF house. I just don’t care any more and I’m tired of her being here. The dog is one of the main reasons my sister isn’t moving with us!.

That's good your child can vocalize it but she shouldn't have to vocalize it because it shouldn't be happening. Your sister is being selfish for not getting her behavior professionally corrected. I'm not at all trying to be judgemental, I just wanted to give you some advice :)

Obviously the dog hasn't been through proper training to be an "emotional support" dog or if any training at all. She has to realize her dog can but put dog if she really attacks your child or anyone. That dog is unsafe to be around and seems very unstable.

@mamawolfe18, my daughter is actually very Vocal about her now. “Dixie bites me” “dixie is mean to me”. She knows to stay away from her now, and not approach her aunt if dixie is sitting there.

@mamawolfe18, the dog is never left alone with my toddler, and my toddler knows to stay away from her now. That’s why she is either in the kennel or with my sister. She gets booted out of the room when my toddler comes in now.

She isn’t just attached to the dog it’s her “emotional support” animal, so basically a service dog, which makes this even worse!!!

I would honestly say the dog needs to leave no matter how much your sister is attached to it. Imagine that if no one is in the room but your toddler and the dog and something severe happens, anything can happen in a matter of seconds. Once/ if that dog severely hurts your child, the damage is done, there are no more "what ifs" left. Your child comes first, not your sister or the horribly behaved dog. I'm so sorry your child got bit but you have the power, your strong and you can take the action that needs to happen. The dog just doesn't sound like a good fit and shouldn't be around children or other dogs. It can find a better fit home. Your child needs you mama, your toddler can't speak up or do anything about it.

Whether she was sitting there or not I would've kicked that dogs ass for biting my kid. Hell if one of my dogs even looks at my kid crazy I gather them up real quick.
