Because ours tried, we had to pay. In the end, I wasn't going to stay in that environment. But we also were dealing with family issues. My MIl lived in the same apartment community and we had to cut ties due to alcoholism and substance abuse. It was awful. I felt like we could never have a conversation in our own apartment

@mommyof2girlz, same crap I’m going through I mean he hasn’t collected rent in three months this guy is so rich he doesn’t care. -.- today he texts me asking to pick it up I’m like uhh you haven’t done what you’re suppose to as a landlord you don’t shovel put salt I almost slipped the other day he hasn’t fixed the leak in. My ceiling it’s just one thing after another and his reply is “just tell me you don’t want to pay it’s easie” I’m beyond pissed

Check tenant laws. We had to go through this last year with cockroaches. Even after professionally done 3 times still came back because they were coming from another unit. We broke our lease, lost our deposit. Had to put things in storage and move in with my parents for a month until we got a place. I was on maternity leave, we were broke. Thankfully my parents lent us the money to get an apartment and we were able to pay security when I went back to work because we rent from my husband's aunt and her bf. But it was an awful experience and I refused to have a newborn in that environment
