We used the Dr brown sippy cups but she would only use the soft spout ones. Eventually she moved to cups with straws and lids.

I have one of the dr Browns but my son has taken better to other ones. He will drink out of the one but it seems harder for him to tip it up. Every single sippy he has though that is soft spout I've had to push bigger holes into. They all had such tiny holes so that they can't spill out I felt like he never would of been able to drink out of it. I had a hard enough time transition him to a sippy I wasn't trying to make it even harder I could care a less if he spills it a little.

I never really use brand name sippy cups. I usually just get sippy cups from Walmart that have non-drip/spill lids. If you're just getting started with them, I'd suggest getting the soft spout ones that can be chewed on, a sippy is a sippy but that's just my opinion.
