My son is almost 3 weeks old, the last 2 days he has been so fussy and literally wants to stay on my boob, he wouldn’t go more then 30, 45 mins without wanting to eat again, my mom figured maybe he wasn’t getting enough so she went and bought some formula this morning, he has drank 4, 4oz bottles today, I sat down to pump after 13 hours of not breastfeeding or pumping and only got 5oz. Has any other breastfeeding moms had this problem? Am I gonna start producing more? Should I do both formula and breast milk?

If you dont pump or breastfeed you are telling your body not to produce any milk. It doesnt work the opposite way. the more you supplement, the less you will produce
If he has at least 6-8 wet diapers a day, he's getting enough
I did with my daughter up till I found I was pregnant again and plan to go as long as I can with my son
@hollydolly2021, that’s what I figured, I do like all the benefits that comes with it. So Idid still want to use my breast milk even if I had to use formula to
@tayyandgrayy hopefully it will get better soon for you but even if you can't exclusively breastfeed I wouldn't suggest giving up breastfeed but supplement that way baby gets breast milk still
@hollydolly2021, I’ve been thinking that I haven’t been getting him on a good latch, I do try the pinch and when he opens wide putting it in his mouth, sometimes it feels better, sometimes not.
@mamaofzuri, I love breastfeeding, but I’m so terrified he’s not getting as much as he needs. It is super stressful, yet so much easier than formula. I just got some nipple cream yesterday that I’ve been putting on, hasn’t done much yet, but hopefully in the next few days it’ll be better.
The tender and soreness sounds like a not so good latch you shouldn't be sore or tender try to get the baby to latch on this is what a lactation consultant just taught me hold your boob up don't pinch or squeeze or anything just hold it up and point your nipple towards babies nose and the baby will open mouth wide and baby will latch on and it gets a better latch
@hollydolly2021, yeah, I’ve had him in bed with me the last few nights. And I have noticed, my boobs hurt more at night and he’s up more often lol
Yeah I get that and at night is when they nurse the Most it's also when you produce the most. Mine sleeps with me at night and I let him nurse through the night at his own will I am a very light sleeper and he stays on most of the night so it's easier just to have him in bed with me and cuddled up and we all get more sleep that way
@mamaofzuri, I’ve been so worried that’s he’s still hungry, he hasn’t fell asleep at night unless he’s on my boob. I do want to continue breastfeeding but with as much as he’s been on them, they are tender and sore
Breastfeed first then bottle and while bottle feeding try to pump also pump after his night feedings you get more, I've never been able to produce enough so I've supplement with formula with my daughter and now my son try getting some lactation cookies and teas etc they will help as well as massaging will help
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
