How can I fix tongue tie without surgery? My LC said I can do massages if I didn't want to resort to laser treatment or cutting right away. She's third degree and it's really affecting my nursing a lot. My nipples are flashing red, hard and dry. I've been using Lanolin HPA by Lansinoh and it was amazing at first but now things have gotten so bad to the point where it hardly helps anymore. Pumping gets nothing out but I have a lot of milk still so my supply is fine. I'd like to just strictly breastfeed or at least supplement with formula during the night and give myself those breaks. But it's extremely painful. Please give me advice, mamas 😭😭

@beemommyof3 would the massages do her any good or does that just take a lot of time and patience? Plus I'm guessing it'd likely not do much being this bad :(
Trust me, it is better to do it now then later. It can cause speech issues down the road as well as transfer issues
@beemommyof3 mines is bad too, third degree out of four, I was just told to give massaging a chance if I didn't want to jump to anything surgical so that's what I want to do. The cutting sounds scary and painful. Hate seeing her in pain. Her heel pricks make me wanna cry :(
I never did massages or stretches. My daughters was severe, needed to be done so we did it.

@beemommyof3 stretches? Are there current stretches or massages I can do? I tried opening her mouth and gently massaging her tongue web upwards like I was told but she'd scream and try to bite down, she hates it. :(
Mine got corrected at 8 weeks. Hers was very restricted. Are the stretches helping?

Sorry I been ignoring yall but I have been so miserable the past days I'M STILL PREGNANT my contractions would be strong for hours and it looked like I was gonna have a baby then everything just stopped so I got sent home. they said I have to wait till my appointment Wednesday so I can talk to my doctor about the next step. It was rough, not gonna lie but i wish I would have known earlier I would have got it done immediately but everyone dismissed my concerns becayse she was gaining well with no problems. only person having issues was me
