Is it okay to take a bath or no? 8 days PP and completely forgot to ask my doc🤦🏼 ♀

I was told baths weren’t allowed until the stitches dissolved. But I tore inside.

Thanks y’all! I just wasn’t sure if water would dissolve them or not!

Im not sure hun i didnt have any stiches. But my friend said she did, and took a bath. But i have no personal experience with the stiches.

@makaylamassey12 I was lucky and only needed on stitch but my doctor told me I could take a bath, but no bubbles, soaps, or bath salts.

My weird husband literally watched me take my first three baths until he was confident I could get out the tub without being in pain.

@makaylamassey12, I would say try it out but have someone husband/bf near you to help you get out of it’s painful.

@makaylamassey12, everyone is different but I got stitches and me sitting in hot water was way more relaxing and healing then a sitz bath.

@rachelleclister, @laciemarie, I got stitches of course so would that be an issue or No?

I did. It basically was just hot water but I took one everyday. It’s the only way I could relax after delivery.

Def no soaps or anything

I did, just dont use any bubbles or soaps, bath bombs or anything like that.
