So I need to vent. And somewhere that isn’t Facebook. Two weeks before I had my daughter, my husband was hit on his way to work and his car was totaled. We finally got the payment for his car and we started looking on Craigslist and Facebook marketplace for a cheap replacement. Yesterday we thought we had found a good deal and proceeded to purchase the car (they claimed it was an eBay sale). So we went and purchased eBay cards at Walgreens and sent the pics in to the email we received from eBay.
Well, now we are pretty sure we got scammed out of $1500. Now we have $500 to buy a replacement car, and will have to be a one car family for I don’t know how long. My husband is beating himself up over this, I am mostly just numb. Just going through the motions today to keep my two kids fed and happy, while our world crumbles around us. I just can’t right now....I just can’t.

I am so incredibly grateful for my best friend. Last night she and I were in a car accident. I was driving and we got hit by a student driver. My car is totaled, I had to come out of pocket for a rental car. Both of my kids car seats were in the car and I’ve been stressing on how to buy new seats for them, she just told me that her and her husband bought us new car seats. I can’t stop crying.
I am so beyond stressed out. We’ve been struggling to find work and have been living off my daughters ssi for rent which I’m still going to be $35 short on and my child $64 a week support for my car payment which is still not enough. If you purchased through eBay you can contact customer service and they can try to refund you! I had a couple issues like that (not a big purchase like that tho) and eBay was able to give me my money back! It’s worth a try!
