That don't sound good at All! Sounds like a yeast infection. You should tell his parents, but they should notice if they change diapers

@aimmefrye97, his mom took him to the doctor and has ointments for it but obviously doesn’t seem to be working

@aimmefrye97, his dad gets them today and on the weekends and he downplays it saying he’s fine. But he’s never had to change him so he doesn’t know

They make medicated diaper cream if the over the counter kind isn't working. I'd recommend to the parents to have their doctor prescribe some. I had parents who didn't change their child that often and he would keep a rash but it also could be an allergy to something he's eating.

@alyssa_hoffmaster hmm well if the ointment from the doctor isn't working. Maybe give him a oatmeal bath my daughter when she would get a diaper rash I would give her a oatmela bath and put corn starch in her diaper and it would be better overnight. And yeah maybe be is allergic to the diaper or whipes.

Try soaking his butt in water/baking soda. Warm water and 2 tbsp of baking soda. Triple Paste is a medicated over the counter diaper cream and works wonders.

Awe, poor babe. We found only use Pampers on my son. The store brand, luvs etc all made him break out in a rash. It found easily be the diapers and wipes they use. I would tell his mom that it’s not getting any better so she can call his doctor.

@scarapella1, I wish it was the diapers or wipes but we use the same thing as the mom does and nothing was changed. It could be a yeast infection. It’s just so gross.... probably because it’s not my kid but he also has diarrhea which doesn’t help and I almost throw up every time.
