Has anyone had to have their child do food therapy? How did you know it needed to be done? My son doesn’t eat very much…

@timsprincess0214, he gave me a referral so I can get an appointment quicker but with my insurance you just have to find someone you takes your insurance and it’s covered.

@amouryaya09, Did your doctor have to give you a referral? I'm going to bring it up at her 2yr checkup.

@timsprincess0214, a food therapist would help. She gave us a lot of tips. There’s a lot of factors that play into it.

@amouryaya09, Yes! That's exactly what she does! She will eat pouches or baby food still but wont eat actual fruit, bread, meat other than chicken, etc.

@timsprincess0214, food therapy definitely helped and opened up my eyes to what was really going on. My son had a difficult time with textures. He only ate pouches and puffs for about 6 months after he was done with formula.now he eats oatmeal, waffles, chicken, beans and rice.
