Has anyone had to have their child do food therapy? How did you know it needed to be done? My son doesn’t eat very much and I’m worried we are headed in that direction.
@timsprincess0214, omg that’s good!!! I’ll save this post so you can keep me posted on her progress!
@amouryaya09, I looked back to find this post! Lol. I wanted to thank you again for the information. We saw her doctor and got a refferal. She goes Feb. 22nd. Hopefully they can help work things out. Thanks so much!
@amouryaya09, Thank you. I'll defiently be checking into this. I never heard of it before I read your post. So thank you so much!!!!
@timsprincess0214, he gave me a referral so I can get an appointment quicker but with my insurance you just have to find someone you takes your insurance and it’s covered.
@amouryaya09, Did your doctor have to give you a referral? I'm going to bring it up at her 2yr checkup.
@timsprincess0214, a food therapist would help. She gave us a lot of tips. There’s a lot of factors that play into it.
@amouryaya09, Yes! That's exactly what she does! She will eat pouches or baby food still but wont eat actual fruit, bread, meat other than chicken, etc.
@timsprincess0214, food therapy definitely helped and opened up my eyes to what was really going on. My son had a difficult time with textures. He only ate pouches and puffs for about 6 months after he was done with formula.now he eats oatmeal, waffles, chicken, beans and rice.
Interested in knowing more about this. My daughter has issues with the texture of almost everything. @amouryaya09, @starienite,
That’s great. Hopefully they can help. My son has an appointment on Tuesday so I’ll keep you posted on what they say. @timsprincess0214, @amouryaya09,
