If you are living apart and recieveing any kind of benefits from the state its an automatic now even if your married. Goverment insurance is a state benefit. They have to have proof your married and living together typically you take proof to them to copy and the case will b dropped.

No we just found out today. And if anything i get from the government is insurance

@newmama19 it's not that. I wasn't married to my husband when my daughter was born. People never get married and still raise kids without child support stepping in.

Unless you get Medicaid, food stamps or something through the government, there's literally no reason he should be paying child support. Has he tried calling?

Im going to be going into chikd support tomorrow to see what the hell is going on. My mom says it could be due to the fact that i havent changed my last name yet

@newmama19, it doesn’t make sense. That is silly if you have fees from the hospital just ask for payment arrangements, tell them you are not going to put your husband on child support.

No i dont think so. My mother in law says it coukd be the birthing fees, but if it was that wouldnt the hospitle get ahold of us
