Do you make your kids do chores small jobs around the house ?

Yeah, I make Maya help clean up her toys sometimes :) They do it at the children centres. Everyones helps tidy up after xx

Yeh Brody helps me out, he puts away his toys, takes plates in kitchen after meals and helps fill washing machine for me xxx

I make her tidy up after herself like if she's taken toys to the living room, I get her to help hand the washing on the air horse thing and occasionly Hoover's if I ask her say if I'm making bottles and then wipe sides down make her Hoover for me. Can't wait til she starts school I think that's why I have had some problems with her behaviour I'm not entertaining enough. But now she says the Hoover's to loud n stuff lol 5 going on 15! @winterbaby95 is that too much to ask of a 5 year old u think?xxx

@winterbaby95 Brody's same, I think they enjoy it cause there doing 'adult' jobs 😂 I know Brody responds well to having abit of responsibility too, he's always very proud of the job he's done xx

@erincharlie1226 Nope not too much at all :) Honestly it will be better in the long run :) life lessons....theres still adults that dont know how to clean..put washing in the machines and hang clothes. So its a good thingd xx

@beffgoude the only thing she hates is the Hoover lol. She likes hanging the washing sometimes we do deals she makes my bed I make hers only difference is all her sheets come off coz she's a fidget lol xxx

Yes Jarrod has from a very early age and he loves it! 😁. I think it’s brilliant to encourage independence and this week he got £10 pocket money for the month (we do still get him the odd toy at the store) for being a good boy and helping with the baby. He was genuinely over the moon for all of five minutes and now the tenner is still on the mantle piece but it’s just something to help him get the importance of being good and earning money. I’ve seen first hand what happens when you don’t and it’s awful to see a child at 7 not know how to bunch up a pair of socks or use a hoover xx
