First session back at the PT and it was like I’d never left 💪🏼. It was all fun and games and Steven is a brilliant PT but we got onto the topic of Emily Skye (@emilyskyefit on insta) and it’s left me feeling a bit angry. He’s been at her at the fact she’s ‘Put on a ridiculous amount of weight’ (his words) during pregnancy. He reckons pregnant women don’t need to eat for two and that as a women who promotes fitness and has made millions she shouldn’t of let it happen. I started getting really mad but kept my shit together and just said every woman is different and it’s her choice but he still kept going back to the fact she’s letting her followers down and now she’s gone and got stretch marks and cellulite because of eating shit and being lazy. My partner then knowing first hand how down I sometimes would get about how I looked during pregnancy and after started to defend pregnant women and they’re choices. He said surely a healthy baby is more important then only eating lettuce to avoid stretch. He was saying how she should if anything gain more respect for being real and enjoying her pregnancy and if she’s so good at what she does she will bounce back and show all women that it is possible. It got so heated between my partner and my PT that my partner called him a fucking idiot and said until you can carry a child you can’t say anything. I’m so proud of him ❤️. Now I’m really questioning going back. For a woman that has just had a baby I found it disrespectful that he had such views on pregnant women knowing fine fact I ate what I wanted.
