We are getting the testing done Tuesday, like where they test for Down syndrome and things like that, has anybody else got this if so how bad did it hurt? What all did you find out?
@mshep7217, of course ☺️ there are a couple different tests so if you’re thinking about a different one and it’s not the finger poke, I apologize!
I had it done on Thursday. They poked my finger and took 4 drops of blood. Almost painless.
If it is the Quad scan know it is known to come back with positive results even if baby does not have any issues! This is because it is highly sensitive, but not very accurate. If you get a positive result for anything, opt for further testing, I know several women who have gotten false positives.
They draw your blood first and then if they find something you can choose to do further testing where they do stick a needle in your belly. You can decline both of you'd like it, just depends on your life choices and if you want to find out. They can also do ultrasound and look at the neck and nose for downs (I think it's downs) I believe...
Thanks guys I still thought they did the needle in your stomach! And that's true too! I think I'll probably just wait!
Obgyn told me to go to genetic testing because i turned out to be a cystic fibrosis carrier, went to a counselor all that but ended up not accepting the fact that them sticking a needle in my belly can lead to miscarriage so i said no thanks keeping my baby anyway. All those testing is found out by blood but to see if the baby has something is another test. Just think about it if you would still choose to have your baby with whatever sickyness then why go threw all the testing and stress
@mshep7217 , they used to do it with a huge needle to the belly, they don't do that now, just a blood test. If there are issues I believe they will do the other one but it's not the norm anymore.
They draw my blood and they tolled me that I was having a boy that way 2 just ask them if they can tell u of ur having a boy or girl if u want
Just has blood drawn. Nothing invasive at all
Ive had it done they do a ultrasound and draw blood didn’t hurt at all
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
TWW!!
2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!

I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
@dbarton041, that's okay! I'm kinda expecting the worse that's a bad habit of mine lmao
