HELP!
My 8 week old daughter has a rash on her face. I can get it to go away :-( docs won't help me just kind of blow me off.
It's really bad when she wakes up and kinda calms down when I put lotion on it but eventually comes back. I've tried different lotions I've tried cool or warm compresses, keeping her cool bc I thought it was heat rash. Help me :-(

My son had the same problem. Do not put anything on her and when you give her a bath don't make the water all soapy. Only water. After bath put aquaphor and hydrocortisone. But don't put on face just throughout her body.

Don't apply anything to it. My son had the exact same thing and it is known as a newborn rash. Some babies have it worse then others. It comes and goes and just goes away with time.

Aww! Poor baby. Try hydrocortisone and Vaseline. Don't put lotion on it til the rash clears up.

I've tried breast milk as well

Have you tried putting breastmilk on it? I would stop washing the baby and all clothes in anything but hot water. Even though they have had it before it could be a delayed reaction. Try nothing at all for a couple of weeks and see how it goes. I also used breastmilk in the bath!

It is probably your hormones leaving her body. It’s normal for the most part. She might have an allergy to something. But i believe it is your hormones leaving

@beemommyof3 yes I breast feed. I was told by docs to try camomile lotion to sooth her skin. I don't use harsh detergents for her clothes I use the same baby detergent I've used since day 1. The rash is only on her face. I don't over bathe. Only one bath every 3 ish days

I would not use any lotion, wipes or laundry detergent with fragrance. The skin is very sensitive

Do you breastfeed?

Over bathing could be it. My Hubby && I don't put lotion on our daughter either.
