Okay now ladies I’m just asking a question no need to get rude now. I’ve washed most my sons clothes handed down from my son but I just went shopping got newborn and 0-3 clothes and blankets. I just don’t want to shrink them and I guess you can call it lazy but I don’t want to do all this laundry. But I did! Put them in dryer for good 10-15 minutes thinking heat will kill and get any dust or chemicals of them...... so I’m looking for advice or opinion did you wash all your baby clothes?

@danielsmomma, it doesn’t! The clean smell makes it even better. I get excited to put it on 😂 It’s just a weird habit I have. I literally wash even sheets before putting them on the bed.

@mommytoluca, I love the feeling wearing a brand new outfit. Your right you never know but don’t you feel like after you wash your clothes they feel less new not so fresh?

I washed everything but I’m like even with our clothes. As soon as I buy something I have to wash it before using. Idk who tried it on or touched it. Lol

I did wash all mine... They say because of the dye in them and you don't know how baby's skin will react..

Absolutely. The dyes, dust and dirt from the warehouse and just being in the sales floors is too much. I washed all 0-3 and 3-6.

I used to work at Ross way before I had my daughter and we’d get the clothes out of dusty ass boxes some of the clothes were covered with plastic but they still had a nasty smell, or sometimes the clothes would get dropped on the floor so after knowing all of that I did washed everything i got for my daughter just in case, but no shame in no ones game lol 😁

You would have to get it up to like 170 for an hour or two to kill off germs

I washed everything from the clothes handed down from my nephew to brand new things I bought. People touch everything in stores and I seen kids wipe their snot with their hands and touch everything in the stores including the baby clothes on the shelves and lower racks in the stores many of times and clothes get knocked off the racks and people step on them. Can never be sure of what germs is on things. so yeah for a newborn baby I wash everything up.

@danielsmomma no ma'am. It has to be extremely high heat. Not dryer heat.

Probably a cray question to ask, but when did y’all start to wash your newborns clothes and putting them away? Like I’ve been getting clothes since I found out what I was having but I haven’t taken off tags yet or washed anything. I’m 30 weeks. It’s crazy because with my other 3 kids I didn’t really wash a lot of their stuff at first (got lazy) ALSO what laundry detergent did you use if you didn’t use Dreft? Because i saw Pyrex for Baby an didn’t know if anyone tried it??
