My 9 (almost 10) year old is pushing me to my breaking point. He was so excited about the new baby coming but the closer it gets to my due date, the more out of control he is getting. I know I signed up for this with motherhood and pregnancy. I just don’t know what to do anymore. It’s so bad he’s been kicked out of school so now I’m homeschooling him. He’s special needs as it is but I feel like he uses it as an excuse to be bad. Anyone else dealing with an extremely difficult child?

You need to do things with him to show him that even though it's a new child coming you still have enough love for him

@chelli, I spend every day all day with him. I homeschool him, do things with him- the only times I can’t is when my back is really hurting or when I have a migraine. His brother is in public school, so he gets the most attention of anyone. That’s what doesn’t make sense about this.

Has your SO taking him out to guy things that sometimes help also

My boyfriend's son blames his attitude and bad behavior on not having his pill sometimes.. uses it as an excuse to misbehave. When he does those things he loses privelages such as time on his Xbox. He is 9 also.. talk to him and see what's going on.. if you're giving him attention then that's not the issue.. communication is important.
