I’m not about trying to have my baby before he is full term but I will be 39 weeks on Monday and am in so much pain as far as my entire back and ribs. My last appt I wasn’t even dilated (I know it can happen over night) So may the bouncing and exercises begin. Does anyone else know any stretches or just anything I can do to help alleviate some of this back pain. A nurse told me because of my anterior placenta I would have back labor ... what the heck does that mean?! Just a lot of back pain during labor?

@nomli, sorry for the late response. That does help my ribs but there is just no relief for my back. Just waiting on his arrival I guess.

@chelli, sorry for the late response. I’ve tried that. Not much seems to be relieving it. So ready for him to be here.

Try the polar bear pose and yes back labor is feeling the contraction in your back.

I don’t know if it’ll help, but for me just kneeling on the floor in front of the couch or a chairs, and resting my arms and head on the seat helped my back a lot.
