Any moms who transitioned their baby from breastmilk to formula how did you do it how did baby respond?

My first baby my daughter, I switched her to formula at 3 months. I had to go through different types to avoid colic some mills upset her stomach after while 8 months she was able to drink any formula. He was a difficult one for me but she got it.

I did 1 month breastfeeding, during that time I had to supplement with formula, so I ended up tapering her off nice and slow over about 2wks, it went fine
