How did you mom's start potty training your little ones? And how would yall go about potty training…

Buy one so he can mimick his daddy. I take my daughter every time I go and she just eventually understood. When you hear them try to poop say "pooh", "poopies" whatever your preferred word is and when you go potty, use the word so they make the association

My daughters half brother learned how to potty from me lol his dad worked two jobs and I stayed home. He had saw his dad go potty of course so he kinda knew but we watched the Elmo Potty Time DVD and it helped SOOO much with him and he loved watching it.

@twinmomma2b I'm sure you could. Maybe even find the actual Elmo one. You'd just have to search it up. You might find a different one you like on there 😊 The DVD we used was given to us when he was being potty trained by a family member so I never would have known about it lol

I’m in the middle of potty training twin boys. I am potty training them together but it always depends on the child, they may learn at different times

Don't get a urinal , just teach him to use the big potty using the stool . He can't poop in the urinal so it's a waste of money to me.

Hi, i just want to share with you information i got recently regarding potty training. I recently read article about it, and it said that baby should be teached to use potty only after he/she understand. Why? Because if mom start follow pee time and sit baby on potty during this time, she is generating conditional reflex. Baby is keeping pee until this condition happens. for example opening water, saying tchhhh. Whereas it should be vise versa. Baby should understand that wants to pee and tell about them to mom, or show. If baby unable to allow mom to know about this, it is too early for trainings

@dreamygirl thanks. But I think once they are walking they can point to what they need even if they cannot talk. Not being able to talk doesn't necessarily mean they dont know.
