How would you guys feel if your sister was pregnant at the same time as you but a month farther then you and your mom…

My brother got together with a gal who (we thought) was a week ahead of me, no one suggested anything like that till we had the kids. Then the suggestions of joint Birthday party’s started... I said no, and stuck to it!

@kariannemarie my mom brought it up and i looked at her like really..? Lol and she started laughing and was no? Okay, and we both started laughing.

@kai_miller im sorry hun! Id just find a nice way to say no thank you and try not to make it sound like you want it to be all about you (even tho your pregnancy kind of is all about you and baby)

@kariannemarie my sister and i use to be close but then she moved to kansas and we drifted apart... now her and my other sister are all buddy buddy and im always the one who gets left out cause im the youngest...

Depends on how close i am to my sister. I would love it bc my sister and i are so close that neither of us makes anything about us. We had talked about doin somethin like this at one point but obvi she didnt get preg and i did. But we discussed that id do my reveal and open gifts first because im older and shed go next. It all depends on your opinion too. If its not what you want than id find a way to say no thank you without being rude

@chelseymamma i dont have many friends or family either but i still do it! ^_^ there really fun lol

@kai_miller o yes i no, its all about my sister in law always! And no partys because i dont have many friends and not a lot of family.. Was thinking of doing a gender reveal for my kids but thats it.

@chelseymamma why aren't you having a baby shower? And gender reveal partys are soo much fun!

@chelseymamma id be like because its MY and OUR babys day! Lol yea it would be a hell of a party but whenever my sister comes to town its like shes god and no one can hear me... you know what I mean?

@kai_miller yep i agree. My husband would be like why not! I was kinda expecting some one to mention this idea to me. But im not having a gender reveal party or a baby shower...

@chelseymamma i feel the same way! Even my husband is like how would you feel if we did that. I told him no straight up.. the point of having it is so that it would be about that baby and the person carrying the baby

@kai_miller i wouldn't go for it. My sister in law is also expecting like a week behind me. I think you should have your own, its you and your childs moment you shouldn't have to share it. But thats just me

If you already planned it out and want to do stuff by yourself then tell her. You’re an adult who makes her own choices.

But you could also have a gender reveal party together and a separate baby shower. The gender reveal for both will be fun, sisterly, and light hearted and the separate baby shower will be more focused on just you.

I would just explain you were planning your own thing 🤷‍♀️. She's probably just excited for 2 grand babies at the same time
