Need advice or experience from other moms.
My 5 year old a week ago came into my room late at night saying he had a bad dream about his daddy having 1eye red and being a zombie (Idk) but since then he cries and makes it a big deal to go to bed. I started reading to him at night and it has helped but we still have been dealing with him not wanting to get ready for bed. Once I'm done reading the book (like a 30 page book) he starts again and eventually gets tired and falls asleep. Well 2 nights in a row I've gone to check on them like 30 min after they have gone to sleep and he will be under the covers and soaking wet from sweating. Has this happened to anyone? What did you do to help your child. I feel bad because he asks us to lay with him but I tell him he has his brother on the same bed. TIA!

Just try to reassure him that everything will be ok.
And make sure he know you know how he feels.
It helped my son

@mamadenny Omg! didn't think about that. Make fun of his dream! Sounds like a good idea. I will try that. Thanks for sharing your experience. I appreciate it ☺

No idea mommy, I can only share our experience with a snowman decoration. My son was afraid of him so much, he screamed passing by him, then we kind of started talking about him, describing him, we finally made a little fun of him and decided he was kinda Cute. My son still insists the people from that house should hurry putting him in their garage (where the Thanksgiving turkey also belongs), but doesn't scream or fuss any more. Hope it gives you an idea, good luck :)
