Sometime my SO other doesn't understand my son and we get into arguments because he thinks " im babying him" or "I'm giving in to him" he makes me feel bad for trying to tuck him in and make him comfortable to fall asleep. Does he not understand cause biologically he isn't his?? Will this change when our son is born?

I want to say yes!!! @sheribabyy

He might be the same way with your newborn. He could just be jealous lol I hope he breaks it though because you should both be tucking him in at night and making your son feel loved and even your husband likes to be babied so I don't wanna here that bs lol

Men to me are usually tough on the kids but we women soften them up I feel like a child needs both but the rigging him in at night nothing wrong with that he is being too much !!!

Same. I'm always accused of letting my son walk all over me. He just turned 3. I don't pay it any attention I just ignore him and love on my son even more just to irritate my SO some more. It actually sounds kinda sad writing it out to think anyone would be jealous or mad at a mom for tucking in their child, reading a bedtime story or singing a lullaby.

@jasminelewis655, @verguinia, @lovely246, I just don't get why it matters to him if I lay with my son and talk to him for a few minutes or tell him a dream and make sure he's okay and the nightlight is on before he goes to sleep. But my SO will shut the door and wonder why he's crying and screaming - he didn't turn a nightlight on, when he knows he doesn't like the dark and then when I confront him saying why he didn't turn the nightlight on he tells me it didn't work. But you didn't have the decency to tell me it was broken to make my son feel comfortable going to bed instead he wants him to scream and cry himself to bed........ I don't get it. Then I wanna go in there to comfort my son and fix his light and calm him down my SO other wants to yell at and start fighting saying he's 5 he's to big for all this your just babying him. Like no u don't get it. But I'm at fault. Smh

Oh no, I refuse to allow any mama even think she's at fault for being a loving caring mom. You are amazing and your son knows it. It's about time your SO caught up to that fact!!

@sheribabyy I would be annoyed and hurt, too. You're not in the wrong at all. He should understand that you want to make sure your son is okay and comfortable, nobody likes going to bed with worries on their shoulders. Children should have the same comfort as adults. That kinda pisses me off now 😡

I'm dealing with the same situation with my husband and my oldest. He swears he needs to be strict with him but it breaks my heart. I don't want my son to grow up hating him.

He's 5, not 15. There is absolutely nothing wrong with comforting a child like wtf?

@justinakmatta, Agreed 🙏🏼 thanks now I don't feel crazy for comforting my child

My husband does the same shit. Makes me so mad.. I don't care how old my child is I will be there no matter what.. half the time I tell my husband to shut the fuck up and mind his own damn business.. and always say "sorry your mother was never like this to you " that seems to get him to settle down lol Cherish these moments! Cause they won't be little forever..
