What do I have to do since I’m breastfeeding to be able to drink 🍹?

Pump enough for the baby to have until the alcohol is out of your system.

I would pump a few bottles before hand so you don't have to worry that much. After you can buy those alcohol strips to test your breast milk.

@lynleesmom115, when Is it out of your system? And I can’t pump a lot for some reason my pump won’t pull out a lot

@morrisontrinity942, I'm not sure. I'm not a drinker but I've heard of my friends doing this. Maybe try googling it? Just be careful, can't believe everything on google lol.

Feed the baby normally. Nothing changes

No need to pump and dump, no need to pump ahead, no need to wait. Feed the baby as normal

What @beemommyof3 said. You have to be pretty much dying in the ER from alcohol poisoning for it to be able to effect the baby like that

If you are sober enough to drive you are sober enough to drink. The danger isn’t the trace amount of alcohol in your milk it’s the impairment that’s the danger.

@ilovemykids97, true! A nursing mother would have to drink enough to kill themselves 4 times over in order for the baby to get drunk from the breast milk.

Pump enough for the night you’ll be ok by morning just don’t drive until your crazy

pump and freeze a couple days worth if u can and buy those strips to test the alcohol level in your breast milk

or just drink and don't worry about it I'm sure ur not trying to down 5 wine bottles all in one night so have fun but it's never a bad idea to store some milk for later if ur feeling the guilties
