Has anyone heard of or experienced their baby having a marginal umbilical cord insertion? After the anatomy scan yesterday, another doctor came in and said everything is perfect with the baby except for one thing, baby has a marginal umbilical cord insertion but to not be too concerned that it is common and she wants me to come in every 6 weeks to keep an eye on it since it can cause the baby to not grow as big and fast as normal, as of today baby is 13 ounces. I know the doctor usually knows best and told me not to worry but I can't help it, I'm worried sick because I just want my baby to be healthy and be full term but I heard this can cause preterm birth on top of my high blood pressure and COPD which can also cause preterm birth. I was born at 24 weeks and lived but I would never want my baby to go through what me and my family went through with me being premature. 😔😩😭
Remember that everything you read is worst case scenario. I pray everything will be fine. 🌈
