My daughter signs a few words (more/food, please, thank you). It's been very useful. Ever since she was 1, she just tells me when she's hungry and I don't have to guess.

@damiensmommy1117, she was 3 months when I started signing around her and she is barely beginning to show interest in signing.. she will be 5 months soon. I use it all day when I ask her for example if she wants to eat, milk, play, dirty diaper and sleep

I started my son around 4m. He has zero interest in signing though 😕

How old was she when you started? I would like to teach my son some basic words so he can communicate better with us before he can speak.
