@ashalee I plan on leaving after a few hours and going home. Then we will go to the hospital for babies check up. I hate staying in the hospital.

I chose to give birth in the birthing center and stayed for a few hours there and then we were transferred to the hospital part til the baby was 24hrs old and had her 24hr evaluation. We could have left right from the birthing center but would have had to come back for her 24hr evaluation so I just chose to stay overnight so she could have her check and we were discharged right after. She was born at 9am on a Sunday and we left at around noon Monday. Would have been sooner but there were 20+ babies checking out that morning

I’m definitely going to look into this as well. I did not like giving birth in a hospital. I loved laboring at home in the bathtub.

@ashalee How long was your stay? Cause' I know in birthing centers (not sure about birthing centers in hospitals) but you stay a few hours and then you go home.

I gave birth at the birthing center unit of the hospital....and if I were having anymore it would be there every time...so relaxing...all of our family that could come were able to. No age restrictions it was amazing
