Really depressed. I went through my boyfriends phone and he got mad. I just keep thing/wondering if he's still talking to this girl who I had asked him not too. It was causing problems in our relationship. So we got in an argument because "I should trust him" so I went to a friends for the night with our son. He didn't try stopping me either (he usually does) he's now barely talking to me. I just feel I'm the only one who really wants a family. I just feel so alone.

I feel like in a serious relationship there should be no reason for privacy. If your SO gets upset about you going through their phone that seems sketchy to me.. It's not necessarily a "control thing" as much as a reassurance and respect thing. Idk, that's just me though.

@twistedrenots it's pretty obvious that's a red flag. If someone can't ease your mind with such a simple thing then they are definitely hiding something... If there is nothing to hide there should be no reason to get mad/upset/defensive or put a lock on your phone. Idk to me it's about respect.
