5 days till my due date and I’m only 1 maybe 2 cm’s dilated...my doctor was very pushy to induce me on my due date but I am holding off and giving him a few extra days and will be induced next Monday if he doesn’t make his appearance before that! Anyone else feel like their doctors just want to induce you because it’s easier for them to have it scheduled?! That’s how they were with my last one and I was induced 3 days before my due date because they were out of town the weekend I was due.

@cheyenne.frazier, yeah but if everything is ok and there are no signs of any issues I don’t see why they try to push being induced on the Mom, especially when last time they did it before my actual due date...I know they can get sick and have some complications the further they go over the due date but some of those things can happen before the due date as well, every person is different. I just don’t like how they emphasize being induced so much now a days.
@jadasweet0218, yeah mine seems to want to do nothing more than induce me. I get there are risks of going over your due date but being induced early and pushing it on someone isn’t the way to go about it. My friend said her doctor won’t induce her till she hits 41 weeks...I guess every doctor is different.
I'm due tomorrow and only dilated 2cm I'm just glad my doctor is leaving the decision on rather I want I want to be induced yet or not because my baby is being very stubborn I was forced into getting induced with my first daughter though so I know how you feel
Eh I think they try to induce to refrain from any possible problems happening. Don’t get me wrong I do feel like some might have their own life in mind but I think a lot of them just try to do what’s best for the mother and child. I saw first hand an incident that happened with my coworker who waited. Not saying bad things happen everytime either because they don’t. But rather be safe than sorry
@kpost, normally they don't wanna induce until 40-41 weeks
