I've always wondered even before I was pregnant, but since I've decided to breastfeed I think I finally need an actual answer. When do you stop? I don't wanna sound weird but I feel like it's kinda weird to have a walking toddler even if they just started walking suck on your tit...I wanna breastfeed but how do you know when to stop? And when you stop, do you ween or just stop?

I have heard and read that you typically stop at about 6 months, but I am going to try to do it for 1 year. It is very good for the baby, and it is FREE!!! :D. I am also guessing that you ween them off, and start to do solid foods then.

My friend said she got less tired when she stopped breastfeeding. I want the best for my babe which i feel is breastfeeding but i might start weaning at 6 mo.

Breastfeeding has no typical stop age although doctors encourage you to go for as short as 6 months and as long as a year but many mothera choose to go longer so its really up to you mama !

Up to you. I'm still breastfeeding. Might seem weird but its got so many benefits for them not just food. I think 3 is a bit old to breastfeed.

Do what makes you comfortable. Sometimes the baby just stops. People often cut down around 6 months when you introduce solids but continue twice a day not just for the nutrients but comforing and bonding factor.
Also sometimes people stop if they get sick or need to travel from the baby.

You stop when your baby and you are ready ! Breastfeeding is a commitment and a blessing to be able too .. it’s hard but I love it every time you get to see your baby love you and need you !

I breastfed for 18 months. I planned on at least a year. There is no typical age to stop. Babies may sometimes decide when they’re done, and that’s when you introduce Vit D milk as long as they’re at least a year old.

I plan on weaning around end of the first year. Listen to baby's signals, is it about nutrition or bonding comfort thing at that point?

My oldest weaned herself at 3-4months and my youngest refused to breastfeed.
