@xomarylee that's what i thought it was too! Turns out those are actually Braxton Hicks. Your stomach will feel like that during labor contractions too. Except in labor i actually felt it tightening. In early labor i couldn't feel it too much so i was feeling my stomach as well to confirm it was contractions

@justinakmatta, I’ve felt that before so many times I just thought it was her balling up. Most of the time it’s not painful so I don’t think much about it

@xomarylee true that. I didnt really feel mine at first. If the pain becomes consitant, feel your stomach in a soft spot where you know the baby isn't and if your stomach hardens and softens up time that. Painful or not you can feel the hardening of the stomach with your hand.

@justinakmatta, I’ve heard so many people describe it in so many different ways. So if he pain is to strong I’m timing

If its a contraction your stomach (technically your uterus) will tighten, stay hard for a bit, and then slowly loosen

@xomarylee, I had it happen for the first time a few days ago and it felt like what you described. It was a quick sharp pain, closer to where my cervix is though. That’s what I figured it was, lightning crotch lol

@morgan.elizabeth2018, I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ just felt like a nerve was being stabbed but didn’t feel much pressure from the baby. Didn’t even feel the baby move around at the moment.
