My MIL is planning my baby shower, and has told us not to buy anything before hand, but today she texts me saying the only day that works for everyone is April 7th, I’m due on the 23rd and kinda wanted time to get anything I didn’t get at the shower... I wanted it in March! Is the 7th to late? What would you say? Shes so sweet i don’t want to complain about it...
This is petty... But my MIL keeps saying she just "knows" my daughter will come on the 7th. I really hope she doesn't just because I don't need her taking credit for the rest of our lives. It's annoying enough that she is always saying she knew she was a girl before we found out, but didn't want to say anything because "it would ruin the surprise." This is my pregnancy. This is my daughter. We already don't get along, and this is making it a lot worse.
I really thought I was getting a baby shower and like no one has even thought about giving me one. This is my first baby i mean no one has to do anything for me I just at least thought they had plans for me and they don’t. They gave my uncle one because his wife didn’t want one because she already had a kid.And everyone got a baby shower and was giving one .But I guess it’s okay. I’ll do my own baby shower with my next child I just thought family planned a baby shower for you . Lol guess I thought wrong.
My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤
FTM problems... So I've made it pretty clear that I want to buy my daughter her fist Halloween costume. Her babysitter/nanny keeps saying she wanted to make her one. I told her yesterday that I wanted to find her something that my SO and I could dress up as a family. So I told her I am going to get it. She just text me and said 'not trying to step on your toes but I bought her two costumes'. She does this all the time. Anytime I want to do the "first" things with her she immediately does it. It's making me sad. Like I wish I could quit my job and be home with her.

Most people get you gift receipts, but incase save yours and return the duplicate. It's not too late to me, but I understand what you're saying.

I think its pushing time close but you will still have time to organize and buy things you need plus you can buy stuff you need to the first few weeks with baby if you have to

There's still time. If anything, send your SO out to return/exchange anything you don't want. I was out returning things at 37 weeks. I ordered most of what we needed online.

I think it’s fine, you can always get whatever you didn’t in just a few days and a lot of people give gift cards for baby stores so that also makes it easier.

@raelene_g what a blessing! I'm happy you have that type of support! Listen, it's pushing it a little close but, you can go immediately the next couple of days and return everything you need to. Don't panic! Make sure you have the essentials down and a backup plan incase you don't get what you need...like Walmart free 2 day delivery option is a fantastic option. :)

I would say it's okay I cut mine close also because I planned late I had mine August 28 and he came a week early on Sep 8 :)

Pushing it close. I had mine at 33 weeks and ended up hospitalized right after. Had her at 34 weeks. Only time I had was the little time I was home in between going to the NICU. But I was fortunate my husband and mom helped me get everything ready.
