I literally hate when every time I try to say something regarding my child someone has something to say about it ESPECIALLY my SO. He’s got some haunted horror movie on TV and when Jax came in and started staring straight at it I asked if we could watch something else. He said it’s not like he knows what it is... it’s scary that’s what and I’m sorry I don’t want my 2 year old watching that stupid shit. I don’t watch it myself. Same thing with the cussing.. I’m trying to stop myself, but he always says it’s not like he knows what it means or something like that... how fucking idiotic does that sound?! Ok so he’ll treat them as normal words and go into daycare repeating everything and not knowing he shouldn’t say them?! Ughhhhhh lord help me not strangle this dude.

Two is definitely old enough to understand and feel fear when they see things on television. The scary part is they can't always put their feelings into words. So if something really upsets them they can't even talk to you and express what is effecting them. My daughter lost it during Mulan when it was on because the matchmaker sits on hot coals and they fan her and her butt starts on fire. Something I never would have thought of. We rarely watch TV and I turned it on when she was sick. She is pretty verbal and it took me all night to get her to calm down. They understand more then you think. TV is a dangerous thing. Stick to your guns!!! Your 100% right!!!

@poohpooh45, he literally sucks at taking anything serious and it drives me crazy. Bc then I’ll come back into the room and he’ll have changed the channel. It’s like, why try to make me feel like an idiot for not wanting my son to watch certain shit? Why not just say yeah that’s fine, and we turn on some cartoons while he goes to sleep. They make things a million times harder and more irritating bc they always want to argue 😒
He sounds ridiculous I’m the same way I want my son to not hear or see bad things I want him to be a good person and not be anything like me or be around anything bad!!

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. I agree with you on both. I have a potty mouth and I'm working on it. It's really not good for them to be hearing those words and he can still get scared from those movies.
