I know every baby is different, but should my almost 15 month old be sleeping thru the night? My husband seems to think…

It’s not about sleeping through the night. It’s about your child having the ability to soothe herself back to sleep without your help. That way when she is two or three when she wakes up in the middle of the night, she can put herself back to sleep

@karimarie I'm 27 and haven't slept thru the night since my teens. And my husband and his family fight sleep. So she unfortunately gets it from both sides.

I’m almost 28 years old and I don’t even sleep through the night...lol.

Also, “sleeping through the night” for babies is only considered to be 5 hours.

My oldest didn’t sleep through the night until he was almost 2 and a half and my youngest didn’t sleep through the night until a month ago! They were sleeping in their own beds and I would work with them to go back to sleep on their own but they would still wake up... I think it’s just one of those things they will do when they are ready🤷🏻‍♀️

Technically she should be able to sleep through the night by now. She won't do it until you make her though. My son has slept through the night since 3 months old and he's recently began trying to wake up at night but I just lay him back down. She still wakes up because she knows you will hold her
